Operating under the name Minas e Metalurgia, we begin with mining operations, ensuring not only the extraction but also the production and commerce of metals and their derivatives - the first step in a journey toward precision engineering.
Acquired by the SAPEC Group, Palbit expands its mining activity to other locations within the Group and establishes the Rock Tools business, dedicated to the production of mining drilling equipment and also cutting tools.
We expanded our hard metal cycle with the installation of production lines for tungsten powders and blends derived from tungsten carbide. This strategic milestone lays the foundation for what would become our cutting tools production.
Our cutting solutions began to empower a wide range of industries, such as automotive, mould and die, aerospace and general metalworking. This diversification has strengthened our expertise and position as a trusted partner in demanding manufacturing environments.
